Fall 2024
In a nine-week Junior Studio assignment, I tried to improve the process of home ice cream making. I asked how the hobbyist's experience making it at home could be improved: Could the limits of currently available devices be removed using professional technologies?
The Cirrus Ice Cream Maker answers that question. It's based off an existing patent used by Nitro Ice Cream, which combines ice cream and liquid nitrogen in a tube, freezing the ice cream as fast as possible to create a small crystal structure and a creamier result. This project finds a way to put that technology in the home.
